Birth Doula Services
As a caring and dependable doula, I support you and your partner in staying grounded and confident during labor. I advocate for your birth plan and provide comfort strategies, potentially resulting in shorter labors and fewer medical interventions.

1
Prenatal Visits
- Meet with you for 2-3 prenatal appointments to discuss goals, preferences and any questions you may have.
- Available for questions and support during entire pregnancy.
- Help create a birth plan.
- Practice birth positions, breathing or teach exercises to facilitate baby's optimal position and ease labor.
- Free rental of a birth ball and peanut ball.
- Free rental of a TENS unit at the end of pregnancy.
- Clients with Medicaid receive up to 20 hours of care before and after pregnancy. Only 1.5 hours are strictly for postpartum support so the remaining hours can be used as needs arise including before birth.
2
Birth Support
- Offer physical comfort measures such as massage, counter-pressure, positioning suggestions and breathing techniques.
- Support your birth partner emotionally and help them as they support you.
- Provide evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions.
- Assist in communication between you and your medical care team as needed and advocate for your birth preferences.
- Remain with you continuously during active labor as hospital or birth center policies allow.
- Basic photography included.
- No time limit, I show up when you need support and stay until your baby is born unless otherwise agreed upon.
3
Postpartum
- I stay with you after your baby is born for up to 2 hours or less if you prefer, to make sure you are settled and supported.
- I provide 1-2 postpartum visits to process your birth experience, answer questions and offer referrals.
